"I joined Freyssinet France after my last year at university; I was attracted by the technology, the diversity of its business areas and the human size of the company.
I started out as a Works Engineer, and was lucky enough to be involved in several large-scale projects, particularly the Channel Tunnel repair project. Following on from that, I soon had the opportunity to become a Sales Engineer.
My role as a sales engineer starts right at the stage of prospecting for new clients, including producing technical proposals with the support of the Technical Department and our production team. The next stage is the financial proposal, followed by negotiating on projects directly with our various clients. Once the works foreman has taken over, I continue to provide sales support until the project has been handed over to the client, which means that I see it come to fruition."
This job gives me the satisfaction of offering innovative solutions developed by our company that make it possible to bring the project to a successful conclusion, through teamwork from design to completion.
That satisfaction also comes from communicating with and meeting new people (in the building sector or from different walks of life), and obviously from the level of technical expertise involved.
I also have the opportunity to put the knowledge and expertise that I acquire on a daily basis into practice in my work.
