In 2000, the group started up structural activities
in the United States, as demonstrated by the supply of the stay cables
for the Leonard P. Zakim Bridge in Boston. It also strengthened its presence
in Africa through its subsidiaries in South Africa and Egypt, notably taking
part in the construction of the Aswan Bridge in 2002. In 2008, Freyssinet
consolidated all of its nuclear activities into a new company, Nuvia.
In 2009, Freyssinet, Menard, Terre Armée and Nuvia came together with Soletanche
Bachy to form the Soletanche Freyssinet Group. In the same year, Freyssinet
created the Foreva® label for its repair business.
